The tie trend may appear as if it came out of nowhere, but its roots started in the winter with the rise of Business core and the Office Siren. Since then, the neck accessory has exploded with Gigi Hadid, Zoe Saldana and most recently, Elle Fanning sporting the style.
And it shows no signs of slowing down as many designers used ties in their Spring 2025 and Pre-Fall 2025 collections.
For 2024, experts say you can expect to see a continuation of ‘90s-inspired wardrobes a la jelly accessories and collegiate prep, as well as some unexpected moments of inspiration – like grandpa, jazz, and retro femininity.
The runway shows so far suggest that 2024 fashion trends will be bigger, bolder, and brighter than ever, with idiosyncratic layers, sculptural ensembles, and transparent skirts. Barbie pink will still be in, but other colors will be competing for attention.
