Jason Kelce, a six-time All-Pro and Super Bowl champion, announced his retirement on Monday, March 4th, 2024. Kelce had given a final speech of his NFL career, thanking everyone who affected his life throughout his football journey.
According to NFL News, Kelce said, “So this all brings us here to today, where I announce I am retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles,” brushing tears from his eyes.
Seeing one of the greatest players and centers of all time say goodbye to his NFL career was certainly bittersweet, especially from his family, friends, teammates, coaches, Eagles fans, fans around the world and people who are just inspired by Jason Kelce.
He was a sixth-round draft pick out of Cincinnati in 2011 and played with the Philadelphia Eagles his entire 13-season career.
As Kelce retires, it is a tough day for Eagles fans, losing one of the key players to the offense, especially for the Tush Push.
Jason Kelce’s career in the NFL is legendary. He was a great player and person on the field and now he will continue to do that off the field as he opens a new chapter in his life beyond football.
The best to ever do it, sad to see him go, but, regardless, Jason Kelce is the GOAT.
