What is the Gardening Composting Club?
Ria Voocha, the club president, has the answer for you!
“This club is a small club that is great for those wanting to get into gardening and composting. We have a lot of activities,” she says.
The club’s main goal is to gather those who enjoy gardening and want to improve the environment. One of the group’s most recent projects was “compost in a bottle,” in which students practiced sustainable gardening by using a plastic bottle and compost.
In the Gardening Composting Club, students learn about gardening different types of plants in various ways. The club meets monthly, usually during Lunch & Learn 2 in Mrs. Orchinik’s room, C122. They will also be hosting a bake sale on March 6th before school at the main entrance to fundraise for club materials.
The Gardening Composting Club is a great place to socialize with others and is always open for any potential new members.
