Leaves turn red, the sky darkens, rain downpours, ruining everyone’s weekend plans. It’s October, a month that you either hate or love, no in between. Either way, Halloween is just around the corner, and everyone needs costumes. Don’t know what or who you want to go as? Here are 5 costume ideas for one or more people.
- Scooby-doo
Dress up as the Scooby-Doo gang! Character choices include Scooby, Daphne, Velma, Fred, and Shaggy. Most of the items needed for the costumes can be easily found on Amazon, and if you want to be accurate to the show, there are wigs you can buy at a local Halloween store.
- Greek Gods and Goddesses
Surely, you remember learning about the mythical inhabitants of Mt. Olympus back in seventh grade: Zeus, Hera, Aphrodite, Ares, Hades, Artemis, Aphrodite, etc. This is perfect for a group costume. Just wear some sort of white clothing and accessories that are associated with the god/goddess you are dressing up as.
- Barbenheimer
The two movies were definitely the highlight of the year. While many people go dressed up as Barbie, having a group costume that combines both Barbie and Oppenheimer infuses further originality and creativity. The costume itself is just Cowboy Barbie and Oppenheimer. Buy a pink cowboy hat for Barbie and a fedora for Oppenheimer from Party City’s countless collection of hats and you have done about half of the costume.
- Sweet’n Sour
Salt’n Pepper but a bit better and creative. One person wears yellow bottoms, and the other wears pink. Both people wear white tops and something to represent the two categories like a lemon and a candy headband, and you’re done!
- Subway Surfers
Everyone’s favorite 2010s game. Very good for a big group costume or for just two or three people. You can create costumes out of things from your closet. For example, to dress up as Tricky, all you need is a pair of jeans, a white tank top, a red hat, and a pair of black glasses from the Dollar Store.
