CB South Golf Season 2021
The 2021 Central Bucks High School South golf team finished with a 6-3 record, which placed them 3rd in the Colonial Division against schools Central Bucks West, Central Bucks East, North Penn, Souderton, and Pennridge. CB South finished the season with a great overall record of 10-3, enough for the 2nd best overall record in the Colonial Division.
South had multiple standout players this season. The whole varsity team made it to SOL’s and South sent Noah Moelter, Emma Reilly, Joey Carlin, and Brendan Reilly to Districts at Turk Creek Golf Course. Sophia Branca and James Schramek also had a great season. Freshman, Brenden Reilly, was near the top of the leaderboards at Districts after the first day. Two of the best teams’ best performances were against CB East and CB West. In the match against CB East, the team won with a total score of 197-222. However, they lost against CB West but fought hard with a total score of 198 to 190. CB West went undefeated this season and ended up winning their first District 3A Team Title.
Central Bucks South Senior, Joey Carlin, had an outstanding season this year. He had his best year yet and his finest performance this season was a score of 40 against CB East at the Bucks Club golf course. Joey was also 1 of 3 boys to make it to Districts. He says South’s season was an “exceptional display of teamwork, recovery, and perseverance.”
Carlin did not make it as far as he would have liked in Districts, but just getting there is all one can hope for. Joey Carlin`s high school golf career may be over, but he says, “The team has a lot of young talent and will be successful in the future.” After a terrific 2021 season, this young talent could blossom CB South Golf into an era of even greater accomplishments.
