Senior Spectator Night
There is little else that encapsulates the high school experience more than bracing the cold to scream for your football team on a Friday night under the lights. For seniors, there is one night in particular that sums up the experience of being a Titan.
The weekend of October 16-18 was a huge weekend for South in general as it was Homecoming Weekend, filled with the Pep Rally, Fall Fest, the Homecoming Dance, and of course the Homecoming Football Game or Senior Spectator Night. That night seniors sat not in the typical bleachers of Titan Terror but behind the end zone. There was a sea of blankets, bag chairs, and faces filled with South pride.
Though the night was cold, there was nothing like huddling together as a senior class to watch one of our last high school football games. With free hot chocolate and cookies in hand, we celebrated our team and our school.
And there was truly nothing quite like the moment the homecoming king and queen were announced. The moment Mr. Bowler announced that Nick McGee and Lily Bowman were homecoming court, the entire senior section, as well as the entirety of the Titan Terror, erupted into unfathomable cheers and excitement.
That was what Senior Spectator Night was all about. A night to celebrate the senior class and CB South, while honoring the people who truly embody what it means to be a Titan.
