It’s finally that time—the time that we have fantasized about in our diaries and dreamt of while not so secretly indulging in romantic comedies. For some, we can finally wear one of those long, embellished gowns that we’ve had our eyes set on, but never dared to wear. For others, we can finally ask that special someone we have been thinking about, but never acted upon. It’s time for junior prom…this Saturday, April 25 from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at Keenan Motors in Doylestown!

The parking lot is next to the building; however, students will need to walk across the lawn, so please be sure to wear shoes that are suitable for grass in mud. Also, the floor inside the building is made of cobblestone, so heels will catch on the stones. It is recommended to leave heels at home and to wear flats or sandals instead for dancing!

Please remember to bring your ID card for ticket purchases this week of school until April 24 and also to the dance. Tickets are $35 each and are digital, since there are no physical tickets. At the dance, ID cards will be scanned for entry.

Doors will close at 8 and will reopen at 10. Between those times, students may only leave with a legitimate note from a parent that has been approved by Mr. Miles.

Food is catered by Villa Barolo, and there will be appetizers like mozzarella sticks, meatballs, and other Italian finger foods, as well as a pretzel tray and water bottles. (Please note that this is not a sit down meal.)

This year’s DJ is a new one that South has not had yet, but has been recommended and has done all the proms in the Council Rock School District, so get ready to dance to good music!

Titan Council and prom committee member Kaleigh Lingman said, “It’s one of those classic high school experiences that everyone should get to have.”

Even though for us juniors there is always senior prom next year, be sure not to miss out on all the fun! As Lingman put best, “It’s going to be a great night to spend with friends, while making the most out of being a teenager!”
